What failure looks like on a iJetColor Pro 1175P
- Banding across envelope faces that lands in the same place on every piece in the run.

How we approach a iJetColor Pro 1175P printhead
On mailing work the commercial stakes of nozzle loss are different: a barcode or address block that drops below scan tolerance fails the whole mailing, even when the graphic areas still look fine. We test specifically for readability, not only for visual banding.
Envelope stock is typically less abrasive than the packaging board a BM300 runs, so on the 1175P the failure driver is more often idle time and drying than mechanical contamination — which changes the recovery procedure.

Our 1175P is dropping nozzles on black only. What causes that?
Uneven channel wear. Mailing work puts most of its coverage — addresses, barcodes, text — on black, so that channel accumulates far more firing cycles than cyan, magenta or yellow. It is usually recoverable, but it is also a signal that the maintenance interval needs to change.
Can you repair the head without taking the press out of service for weeks?
