How we approach a iJetColor Pro PXG printhead
The PXG runs a wider variety of substrates than the envelope-focused 1175P, so we ask what was on the machine when the fault appeared — coating transfer from specialty stock is a distinct failure mode from ordinary drying.
Nozzles that recover after a purge and then drop out again within a short run point at a supply-side restriction rather than at the head, and we test the ink path accordingly before quoting head work.
Because the PXG shares the FI-1000 engine with the rest of the family, parts and recovery procedures are common — what differs is the contamination profile from packaging substrates.

Nozzles come back after a purge and then fail again. Is the head faulty?
Often not. Nozzles that recover and then re-fail within a short run usually indicate a restriction upstream of the head — a filter, a line, or a supply pressure problem — rather than head damage. Replacing the head in that situation does not fix the fault.
Do you also supply pigment ink for the PXG?
