If the machine is one of the FI-1000 models listed on this page, it runs the same print engine and the same four cartridges, so the same ink, parts and printhead service apply. We still confirm against your exact model before anything ships.
How do I check that my printer runs on the HP FI-1000?
Look at the cartridge label. If it reads 3UB06A, 3UB07A, 3UB08A or 3UB09A — or a printer maker's own code for those cartridges, such as Postmark PM-PHP0xx — the engine is an FI-1000. A 297 mm print width is the other giveaway.
I have a TrojanLabel T2-C or T4, or an AstroNova QuickLabel. Can you help?
Not with FI-1000 supplies. The T2-C and T4 are Memjet machines, and the QuickLabel range is not confirmed as FI-1000, so FI-1000 ink and parts do not fit them. Of the TrojanLabel range, only the T3-OPX is on the FI-1000.
Are alternative cartridges a good idea for these printers?
Refilled cartridges are the risky route: ink quality, filtration and air in the line are uncontrolled, and that is how printheads get damaged. A controlled bulk supply with ink formulated for the FI-1000 is the dependable alternative.
